New to the Clubhouse app?
Clubhouse takes the “media” feel right out of social media and leaves us with what we’ve always loved about social media—the social aspects.
But it can be super intimidating to try new things and speak up.
So let’s break down Clubhouse Etiquette to get you brave enough to raise that hand and join the stage.
Finally, you gained the courage to join the speakers on stage! Go you! But keep in mind that your mic should stay muted until a moderator calls on you. Why? Well, you don’t want to cut in line. It’s also important to cut down on background noise so everyone can listen intently to the speaker.
Short & Sweet Intro
When you’re called on, some groups insist on starting with “My Question Is…” but others are more into connecting, networking, and just chatting. It’s important to introduce yourself, but keep it brief! I recommend using your short & sweet Instagram bio to inspire you. Who are you, What do you do, and Where can they find you?
Thank & Connect
Proper etiquette is kind of a big deal on the app. So remember to use your manners. Thank the moderators and give a follow! Clubhouse is great for connecting; make sure your other social media platforms are linked so that others can give YOU a follow.
So far, Clubhouse is a private app still in the beta stages, but as it continues to grow, it’s important to know the proper etiquette.
